Company description
Our mission: To provide quality workmanship that builds bonds and trust with each individual so that together we create a world filled with comfort. Rays Service has been around the block for a while, dating back in the 60’s it was owned by the actual Ray himself. When Bill came home from Vietnam he worked for Rays and purchased a part of the company starting Ray’s Service, Inc. in 1988. Chris, his stepson, came on board in 2005 wanting to apply his incredibly mechanical mind to an in-demand trade. His plans to purchase the business were cut short by Bills unfortunate diagnoses with cancer. Chris had proved to Bill that he was capable and willing to keep the company running and was willed Ray’s Service, Inc. Chris has taken the knowledge that he learned from his stepfather and mentor and continued the integrity of the business over the past 16 years. He continues to learn and change to better accommodate his customers and employees. We have upgraded from Bill’s “computer” aka calculator, to a fully functioning digital dispatching system. Bill knew that Chris would take what he started and run with it. With the birth of their third child Chris asked his wife to jump on board, completing the whole family aspect of the company. Whitney had worked for Bill during the years doing filing, scheduling, and light bookkeeping. It was the missing piece to the puzzle and things just started moving up from that point on. We continue to service our hometown of La Crescenta, where Chris & Whitney both graduated from Crescenta Valley High School and have expanded our reach to the greater Los Angeles area including our new home of the Santa Clarita Valley. Our focus is on maintaining and installing residential and commercial equipment. Chris learned under Bill, he understands how the equipment was built, he knows what manufactures have had long running success and where some have fallen. He is mechanical and has trained his technicians in the same way to be comfortable working on all equipment. We are enormously proud of our customer base and the many people we have connected with over the years. One of our great customers came into an issue of her unit being ripped open and parts stolen out of it. Chris custom built a cage for her unit to deter this from happening again. Running a company that is focused on maintenance and honesty is what we hope our customers will think of when they hear our name, Rays Service Inc.
