Company description

I went vegetarian at a young age and that sparked my passion for nutrition and health. I've always wanted to work in the healthcare field, since I enjoy helping people and find it rewarding to make a difference in someone else's life. I completed my undergraduate degree in nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) and subsequently completed my Master of Science in nutrition and dietetic internship at Appalachian State University. My academic journey was complemented by a deep engagement in community service, notably volunteering at my local food pantry and contributing to the UNCG Food Recovery Network. These experiences enriched my understanding of the vital link between food, community and health. I enjoy connecting with people through food and nutrition. I'm a firm believer in treating the person rather than the disease or condition. My passion is working closely with patients in providing nutrition counseling and education. I'm thankful for a career I find fulfilling and one that allows me to learn something new each day. When not at work, I cherish moments spent with my family, including my twin sister, our older brother and an extended family of pets. My boyfriend and I share our home with two energetic dogs - a German shepherd and a border collie - and a mischievous black cat, while my parents' beagles, Stella and June, hold a special place in my heart. My hobbies include reading, hiking, crocheting, knitting and baking, often treating friends and family to homemade sweets. I'm also a runner and greatly enjoy getting outside to run, especially in the refreshing air of spring and fall.
