Matthew Boardman is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University in Boston. He then went on to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he obtained his medical degree and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. Finally, he went on to complete his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Boardman has been in practice since 2010. While he treats all conditions of the hand and wrist, his focus is on hand and wrist fractures, arthritis of the hand and wrist, carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome, and Dupuytren’s disease. Dr. Boardman is board certified in orthopedic surgery with a certificate of added qualification in hand surgery. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, and the American Osteopathic Association. In his free time, Dr. Boardman enjoys reading and playing with his dog, River. He is actively involved in triathlon and cycling. Dr. Boardman also enjoys traveling with his favorite location being New England where he is from originally. I enjoy the comprehensive nature of hand surgery.
