Company description
I chose to become a pelvic health physical therapist to provide knowledge and relief to patients with under-discussed impairments. I enjoy celebrating patient success and giving them the knowledge and tools they need to manage their symptoms. I thoroughly enjoy treating many pelvic populations, including those who are pregnant and postpartum. This population can be too often overlooked, and I enjoy guiding physical activity through this time when their body is undergoing tremendous changes. I also specialize in treating pediatrics regarding pelvic health issues, including urinary leakage with activity, bed wetting and constipation. Above all, I believe in listening to my patients and having a collaborative care plan that aims to meet their self-identified physical therapy goals. Throughout my career, I have learned the value of evidence-based and personalized care to improve quality of life for my patients. I also believe it is imperative to apply guided exercise that considers the whole body to reach patient goals with lasting effects. Outside of work, I love to read a book cuddling my dog and cat. I love to be outdoors hiking, kayaking, and traveling with my husband. Being a native of North Carolina, I enjoy all the state has to offer from the mountains to the beach.
