Kristen Coffey, M.D. is a board-certified radiologist specializing in Breast and Body Imaging. She is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine.  She also serves as the Associate Program Director of the Breast Imaging Fellowship Training Program.Dr. Coffey graduated Magna Cum Laude from Villanova University where she earned her B.S. in 2008. She then received her M.D. at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in 2013, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.Following an internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in NYC, Dr. Coffey completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine – NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (2014-2018) where she was elected Chief Resident. She then completed a one-year fellowship in Breast and Oncologic Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). Dr. Coffey joined MSKCC faculty in 2019 where she served as Co-Director of the Breast Imaging Fellowship. She achieved Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology in 2019. Dr. Coffey joined the Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Radiology faculty in September 2023.Dr. Coffey’s clinical expertise is in Breast and Body Imaging.  She interprets a variety of studies including mammography (2D, digital breast tomosynthesis, contrast-enhanced mammography), breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and body CT. She performs image-guided interventional breast procedures including stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI-guided biopsies as well as preoperative radioactive seed localizations.Dr. Coffey’s research interests include contrast-enhanced mammography, abbreviated breast MRI, and breast imaging artificial intelligence.  She serves on several breast imaging society committees and is a reviewer for radiology journals. In addition to clinical and research activities, Dr. Coffey is actively engaged in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
