Bhargab M. Dixit, M.D. joined Norton Gastroenterology Consultants of Louisville from Corbin, KY. He comes from Nepal and arrived in the United States in 1995. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The Mount Vernon Hospital affiliated with New York Medical College and completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. After completing gastroenterology fellowship he moved to Corbin, KY to start his career. He has made Kentucky his home for the last 10 years. While practicing at Corbin he was a leading gastroenterolgoist and chief of the endocsopy unit at the Baptist Regional Medical Center at Corbin. He has extensive experience in managing a variety of gastrintestinal and liver disorders. Dr. Dixit is a member of the American Gastroenterologist Association. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and successfully passed the recertification examination to maintain board certification in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in 2009 and 2012 respectively. Dr. Dixit has vast experience in both diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures including therapeutic ERCP and colon cancer screening. His special interest includes hepatobiliary disorders, inflammatory bowel diesase, chronic viral hepatitis, IBS and GERD. Dr. Dixit moved to Louisville from Corbin to join Norton Gastroenterology Consultants of Louisville with his wife Prerana and two sons Arpan and Sushovan. Medical degree: R.G.
