Avi Deutsch is a Managing Director at Robertson Stephens in the New York office. With David Matias and Brandon Frye he advises on portfolio management, financial planning, and social impact investing. Avi especially enjoys working with tech executives and entrepreneurs on exit planning, liquidation of stock options and crypto assets, and planning for life after a liquidity event. Prior to joining Robertson Stephens, Avi was a principal at Vodia Capital, a boutique wealth management firm, where he helped triple the firm’s assets under management. He also served as a Managing Partner at Vodia Ventures, a family of venture funds designed to invest in companies tackling society. Earlier in his career, Avi worked in the social impact sector, including co-founding a community of impact investors guided by Jewish learning and working with at-risk youth in Rwanda. Avi grew up in Israel and served as an armor officer in the Israel Defense Forces. Avi graduated magna cum laude from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a bachelor’s in Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics and holds an MBA from the Wharton School with Palmer Scholar honors. He lives in Brooklyn and enjoys cooking and hosting dinner parties but escapes the city often to trail run or climb mountains.
