Athena Amini, DNP is a neurology nurse practitioner at CUIMC, in the Division of Epilepsy and Sleep. She received her BSN, MSN, and her Doctorate from Columbia University School of Nursing and is board-certified in Family Health by (ANCC). Dr. Amini works collaboratively in a multi-specialty practice managing and treating patients with seizure and sleep disorders. Prior to her current role, she worked as a neuroscience NP at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. She delivered direct care to patients with complex neurological conditions, including seizures, sleep disorders, headaches, neuropathies, vestibular disorders, ADHD and autonomic dysfunctions. Dr. Amini sees patients at the Neurological Institute of New York and ColumbiaDoctors Midtown locations.
