Dr. Carroccio serves as chief of vascular surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital. He is a nationally recognized vascular surgeon, specializing in complex yet minimally invasive aortic aneurysm repair and catheter-based therapy of the vascular system. Dr. Carroccio received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he was granted membership to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He went on to complete a residency in general surgery and a clinical and research fellowship in vascular surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He remained on the faculty of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine with appointments in the Division of Vascular Surgery and the Division of Interventional Radiology. He joined Lenox Hill Hospital in 2008 and established its first vascular surgery residency program. Certified by the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Carroccio is regarded as an esteemed researcher and clinician. He has authored numerous peer reviewed articles for scholarly and professional publications, written book chapters and delivered presentations to professional audiences worldwide. He has served on many academic and professional society committees, contributes to development for national educational courses and has been the recipient of several honors.
